Our Society, VIKAS EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY was established in 1997 and have been successfully completing its journey in its academic activity from two decades, offering various graduate, professional degree program’s under its management, with an enrolment of total students on campus more than 4000. Ours is one of the premier professional institutes in North Costal region of Andhra Pradesh.

Our history

Society was registered in 1997.( Regd. No. 220/97). The prime objective of the Society is to inspire young minds with the sole purpose of providing systematic and quality education coupled with ethical and aesthetic values and to accelerate the growth of education, science and technology & management in this industrially backward Srikakulam District. The group of colleges under are successfully managed by Vikas Education Society, Etcherla, Srikakulam.

Brief history of the Society:

Vikas Educational Society was established in the year 1997 involving eminent scholars with a aim of promoting technical/ professional education in this industrially backward area of Andhra Pradesh, besides other service oriented activities taken up by the society since inception. The society started with a recognized junior college in the 1997, functioning effectively with good results and setting records. As there is no professional Pharmacy course in this district, the society started both Degree courses in Pharmacy from the year 2004, with aim to cater the needs of prospective students to prosecute their studies in pharmacy. Later, the founders believed to build an enduring legacy for the institutions & with an ambition to provide opportunities for all departments of higher education under its management, various graduate, professional degree programs were started. Sri Kurmam is a village near Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located approximately 13 km east of Srikakulam town near the sea. It is in the Gara mandal of Srikakulam district.According to inscriptions in the temple dated 1281 AD, the holy place of Kürmakshetra was reestablished by Sri Ramanujacharya under the influence of Jagannatha Deva at Jagannatha Puri. Later the temple came under the jurisdiction of the king of Vijayanagara. The temple is dedicated to Sri Kurmanatha, the second avatar of Lord Vishnu, Kurma Avatar.

Arasavalli The famous Sun God Temple situated in Arasavalli Village which is at a distance of about 1 K.M. east of Srikakulam Town District head quarters of the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the ancient and all among two sun God temples in our Country. The original name Harshavalli means abode of joy. It is believed to have been built in the 7th Century AD by the Kalinga rulers Devendra Varma of Orissa. Salihundam is a historically noted village and panchayat in Gara Mandal of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a famous Buddhist Remnants site situated on the south bank of River Vamsadhara at a distance of 5 kilometers west of Kalingapatnam and 18 kilometers from Srikakulam town.There are a number of Buddhist stupas and a huge monastic complex on a hillock amidst sea .
